Weekly Update

11/4	C Day	We have art. Homework: Do math fact practice sheet and read/ explain the syllable pattern on your word list. Math Game Bags sent home today.
11/5	D Day	We have gym and music.  Homework: Complete the word work worksheet.
11/6	E Day	We have art.          Homework: Play math game and return bag tomorrow.
11/7	F Day	We have gym.   Half Day 12:05 p.m. Dismissal Homework: Read on RAZ.
11/8	A Day	We have art.      Half Day  12:05 p.m. Dismissal       Homework: We do not have homework.

Halloween Party:Thank you so much to all of the volunteers for your donation of time,

supplies or both. A big thank you to Mrs. Newman for organizing our party. We had a wonderful time at our party.

Nightly Reading and Math Game Bags:  Please help your child remember to

complete his/her nightly reading and write the minutes on the log.   Math Game Bags are due back

on Thursdays. Please help your child remember to bring it back with the signed log.  Thank you.

Book Order Forms: Book order forms will be sent home Tuesday, Nov. 5th.  If you would

like to purchase books as a surprise for the holidays for your child, just email me and I will

hold your books until you can pick them up without your child's knowledge.  Book orders will be due Nov. 12th.

Word Work: Our class will be learning about the long a digraphs ai / eigh / ea syllable patterns this week. Examples: nail, eight, break Please visit Spelling City: https://www.spellingcity.com/view-spelling-list.html?listId=65015234

Dress for the Weather: Please take a few minutes to make sure your child is prepared for the cold/snow weather recesses. 

Students need warm coats, snow pants, boots, mittens/gloves, and hats.

Recess can be great fun if a child is prepared to be outside.

PTO Thanksgiving Luncheon: Our Lincoln School Thanksgiving Luncheon will be Thursday, November 14th! All students are encouraged to participate. Lunch is $2.45 for students and payment should be sent by  Thursday, November 14th. We need many parent/grandparent volunteers to help on this day. Please contact the office if you’re able to help out. Unfortunately due to limited spacing, parents and grandparents are only welcome to attend if they are volunteering. Thank you in advance for considering helping us for this fun yearly tradition.

  

Second Grade Music Program: Our 2nd grade music program which will be on 

November 21st at 6:00 p.m. There will also be an afternoon performance during school on that

same day at 3:00 p.m.  Here is a note from Mrs. McElroy, our music teacher.
