Second Grade Letter to Parents

Dear Second Grade Parents,

Below is the letter that was sent home with your student today. I have added a few items that I have put in bold print so you can see the differences. If your child was not in school today, I have packaged up the materials and put them in the office for you to pick up. Here is the letter.

We are really going to miss your students during the next four weeks without them.  It saddens us not to be with them and miss the opportunity to continue the amazing growth that has developed over these last few months.   It is our hope that you will help us continue this growth by supporting his/her education through some of the items we are both offering to you and sending home.   Here is a list of the learning we would love to see happen over this next month in order to ensure your child does not lose the great gains he/she has made.

Per the district letter, we will be posting enrichment and practice activities each week on Wednesday. A lot of these will be what you have read in this letter.

At the conclusion of the break, we will want the writing journal, hand-writing journal, and any math regrouping pages you received returned to school please.

Thank you for always supporting your child’s academic and emotional well-being.  We will be working remotely and monitoring student work. Please feel free to contact us by email if you have any questions, concerns, or would like further support.  We are happy to help any way we can. Take care and stay well.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Laukus and Mrs. Starks
