Week of January 13, 2020

1/13	E Day	We have art.     Homework: Read your word list and practice for Math Center
1/14	F Day	We have math center and gym.     Homework:  Complete your word sheet.
1/15	A Day	We have art, computer lab, and library.         *We are working on having a 100% of our library books returned on time.     Homework: Practice math facts or play a math game
1/16	B Day	We have music.     Homework: Read a book from home or on  RAZ.
1/17	C Day	We have art.      Homework:  No homework.  Keep reading and practicing math facts.

Word Work: Our class will be learning the r controlled o syllable pattern this week. Our vowel pattern will show up in words like door, explore, yourself, and support. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.

Book Orders: Book Orders will be due on Tuesday, January 21rd.

Guest Readers: Our class would like to invite parents, grandparents, or special friends to share a favorite book with our class during the months of January, February, and March. We are available on C Days from 3:20 p.m. - 3:35 p.m. A sign up email was sent to you. If you did not receive it or can not sign up using the Google doc, please contact me.

Class Donations: We are in need of paper towel and bird seed. If you would like to donate a roll of paper towel or a small bag of bird seed it would be appreciated.

100th Day Project: Our 100th day of school will be on Feb. 6th. Your child will bring home the materials needed to create his/her 100th Day Riddle Bag soon. The 100 pieces of a single item should be put into the paper lunch bag. Students should write 3 clues about the 100 objects on the attached paper. Best handwriting and complete sentences should be used by all. 100th Day Bags may be brought to school on the 100th Day, February 6th. Please do not send them in early; we have no place to store them.
