Second Grade Music Program: Thank you for attending our performance! The students did a wonderful job.

Word Work: Our class will be learning about the long e digraph syllable pattern this week. The following words are examples of this pattern: clean, week, belief, key. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.

Math Fact Practice: As the end of the year approaches, please check what level your child is on in math center. By the end of December, they should have level A (addition facts within 10) and level B (subtraction facts within 10) completed. This will allow time to complete the 2nd grade goal which is passing Wizard Level A, B, C, and D.

Homework Reminder: December is a very busy time of year for most families. Please help your child handle the holiday excitement by keeping nightly reading, homework, and school routines as normal as possible. If you find a time when your child is unable to complete the nightly expectations, please email or write a note explaining the circumstances.
