     Week of February 10, 2020 

1   2/10	F Day	We have gym.     Homework: Complete Math Center Practice Sheet and review       word list.  Library Books Due Tomorrow.      Math Game Bag sent home today.
1   2/11	A Day	We have art, computer lab, and library.      Homework:  Complete word sheet
2/12	B Day	We have S.E. L. and music.     Today is a Late Start Day.     Homework: Complete math game
2/13	C Day	We have art.       Homework: Read for 15 min and check your reading log minutes.
2/14	D Day	We have Valentine’s Day Party, gym, and music. Red, Pink, Purple Heart Day!      We do not have homework.  Remember to read this weekend.

One Hundredth Day: Thank you for helping your child create his/her 100th Day Bag. Please stop by and see if you can guess what is inside each bag. Our class learned about building arrays and repeated addition as part of our 100th Day Celebration.

Word Work: Our class will be learning about the variant vowel /ou/ syllable patterns this week. Our syllable pattern makes the /ou/ sound in words down, found, and playground. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.

I apologize last week's information about valentines and Valentine's Day Mailboxes did not get posted. See Week of February 3 below. If you are not able to create a mailbox by Wednesday, I will have bags for the children to decorate as mailboxes. Students may bring in their mailboxes and valentines starting Wednesday, Feb. 12th.
